Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners
Article 22: Foreigners holding study type residence permits who need to participate in work study programs or internships outside of school shall, with the consent of their school, apply to the exit and entry management agency of the public security organ for the residence permit to include information such as the location and duration of the work study program or internship.
Foreigners holding study type residence permits who do not include the information specified in the preceding paragraph on their residence permits are not allowed to participate in field work assistance or internships on campus.
